October 2011

This picture was from Tally's family birthday night...some reason I don't have any of her. Looks like I love these two too much.
I went up to SLC for a week to help plan Nate and Kimi's wedding and got to see my talented lil sis-in-law Annie in her Halloween dance recital. She is seriously ridiculous at how good she is. Also she choreographed half the concert. She's good in all types of dance, but hip-hop...DANG girl. She is so swag and I adore watching her.

SISTERS
The proud fans
It ended in a Thriller dance...(also notice her flowers. My mother-in-law collected dead flowers for her bouquet....adorably creative)
Spence joined me up there for the weekend. We did pumpkin carving...ours was Harry Potter.
 My lovelies
I decided to throw a Murder mystery party in the 2 seconds we were there. We had to plan quick, but it was SUPER worth it. It was an 80's themes murder mystery party. Each character was someone that was famous or heard of from the 80's but the names were twisted around. The characters all had weird quirks and stories. Spencer was "Ivan Pingmold", CEO of Baqua Net Hairspray and flatulent/ghostbuster. I was his wife, "Polly Pingmold", the host and antisocial 'wannabe prom queen'.
 Rock star diva besties.
Lex = Melinda Parnile, lead singer of 'The No No No's'
Annie= Cat Fenafar, 'Rough and tough' pop guitarist and singer
Julie= Lany Lou Metton                                       Reege= Base Squealey
Julie was a kleptomaniac olympic gold medalist. She stole stuff and did this pose after everything Reege was a narcissistic front man of the 80's rock band "Hug". hewalked around with a mirror and sang random song. He was also a ladies man who flirted with everyone around.
 Power couple Nate and Kimi.
Nate=Turbozone Goobalo, 'wannabe famous' break dancer. He rhymed everything he said and was way too good at it.
Kimi= Kelly Goobalo was a narcoleptic ballerina/wannabe break dancer. I would turn around and she would be asleep in a random position. It was hilarious
Aunt Vickie: Bo Pontana the pro football star      Grandpa: Grandma: Fammy Taye
Gpa was a creepy television evangelist that was caught up in scandals. Gma was an over-emotional president of the Cat Fenafar fan club.
 The whole 80's motly Crew!
  "16 Candles" reenactment
I ended up being the murderer...the weapon--my rubix cube.
We got back to Vegas in time for Halloween where we threw these costumes on for the ward trunk or treat with the Leavitt's. A "super senior" and monkey guy.
She LOVES "spince", especially when the monkey mask is off.

 The proud parents
She wanted to be a real "scary" vampire. Not a pretty one. Curry made her fangs even!
 Games
My little angel baby cowgirl cutie
Rylee was a "sassy" 80's chick. Morgan was Tom Havaford from Parks and Rec "E720"
Giving/stealing candy for the trick or treaters.
 Daddy and daughters
October brought lots of parties and family, our favorite things.

Here comes some catch up. Quick as I can...a run through of what I remember through pictures:

Two Thousand and Eleven

January
We rung the 2011 in together in Miami. The Orr's joined us New Years day to watch lots of football before we headed out the next day on our family cruise. On that cruise we traveled to Grand Cayman to swim with stingrays, Honduras for jet skiing Belize for sip lining and cave tubing, and Cozumel to snorkel and shop. Back in Utah I started working full time and Spence continued in his studenthood. We enjoyed Jazz games and snow.

February
Weekends were spent in Midway and Salt Lake City. Ski trips were taken to Park City. Three family birthdays were celebrated. Brian got his mission call to Juoa Passoa, Brazil and was endowed in the SLC temple.

March
The month of green brought Provo sleepovers with Brian, Lexi and Nate. Spring training trip to Phoenix and Scottsdale with the Taylor clan. Intramural soccer games were had in Provo, leaving me with a busted knee.

April
We hobbled our way to San Francisco in the begging of the month for a Taylor family Giants opening day baseball trip. Easter was excitedly celebrated in Salt Lake City with the Orr's.

May
The month began with family pictures and Spencer's best bud, Craig's wedding to the lovely Kacie in the SLC temple. Spencer and Brian's simultaneous birthday's were celebrate in Anaheim. We babysat the Leavitt girls in Las Vegas. Moved Spencer out and Sadie into Provo. Lived in Salt Lake City for 2 weeks. And lastly, and most depressing/exciting, Spencer moved to Korea!

June
Spencer spent the whole month in an Asian land. I started the month in Provo, then traveled to Las Vegas for darling Amy Say's nuptials. I spent my birthday in Anaheim and Newport with Zach and Jana and went to Anne and Dan's baby Belle's blessing. The Wittwer(Orr) family reunion was spent in Midway, followed by Nate's b-day spent in Provo.

July
This summer month brought 5 family birthdays. The Taylor family in it's entirety (minus SJO) spent vacation time in Midway. We were brought together by my grandpa Keith's funeral. A sad event, but happy for us all to be together. Our last month in Salt Lake with Bri was spent and we had his farewell, followed by a drop off in Provo. Nate and I traveled to California to Kimi Michelle's homecoming in Placentia and joined up with the Orr family in Newport. All sadly while Spencer was in Korea.

August
Beginnings and ends were had in this month. Spencer and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary, beginning another year together, but physically in 2 different countries. I had my last week at White Willow Reception Center. With the help of family I moved out of Provo to Midway. My first solo wedding was accomplished in Sundance. Spencer ended his internship. I finally made my way to Korea where we adventured to celebrate our anniversary and SJO finishing school. We came back to America TOGETHER and spent enough time in Salt Lake City to see the newly engaged Nathan and Kimi.

September
Labor day weekend kicked off the month with a 10k for us in...Midway(Last mention of this blessed town). We moved to Las Vegas where another Jarman wedding was done as well as my lovely roomie Sadie B.'s. We spent afternoon's by the pool and lots of time with the Taylor/Leavitt family. We made our way to Anaheim for our first visit to Disneyland as season pass holders on the last day of month...

October
And began the first day of the month in Anaheim. We made a quick vacation to Salt Lake City, getting some much needed Orr family time in, then back to Las Vegas for Halloween with the girls.

November
Spencer went to San Diego with his BFF Craig to witness the Chargers play the Oakland Raiders in their first live NFL football game (in which they came back with way too many inside jokes/stories) while I participated in/threw 3 showers this month, 2 for the the future Kimi Orr. This took me solo to Midway and Salt Lake City. Back to Las Vegas and off to Hawaii for Thanksgiving with the Taylor family.

December
To end out the year we traveled to Placentia, CA for Nathan and Kimi's wedding, specifically to Newport for their sealing in the LDS temple. Followed by a stop off in Anaheim to work the Disneyland pass. Back to Las Vegas to work until Christmas, spent in Salt Lake City (I bounced back down to LV for a quick second to work and then back up to SLC again), where the year 2011 was ended.

YEPPP...it was summed up to be a pretty adventurous, fun, crazy, happy, interesting, swell travelsome 2011.

And we loved it.
We hope 2012 brings just as much.

January 1, 2012

This is day one of 365 days of journaling.

I decided that I'm excited and want to do this because I took Spencer and I's Korea blogging and sucked it into a book making thing and printed it out in a Blurb book. Now have it to remember and read physically.

Day one=church, mingling, family time, sleeping, eating, playing etc.

Tomorrow brings traveling home to reality, leaving Spence and I with a nice car ride to reflect on the last year and discuss the upcoming one. 6 hours should be just about enough for that.

Here's to 2012
