The Non-Lazy Song

So you all know "The Lazy Song" by Bruno Mars. Have you seen the video? Here I'll show you:
(Please don't be offended by any parts, I didn't write or direct it)

Well we did our own little twist with the Orr family last year over the holidays.
For every missionary that has been out in their family(3), they have always recorded a song parody of a fun song and changed the words to fit with their mission (and filled with some inside jokes). For Spencer it was "Welcome to Atlanta" by Ludacris changed into "Welcome to Korea". Nate's was "The World's Greatest" by R.Kelly changed to "Brazil's Greatest". I was able to help with that one and it was a blast to sing and record.
But for Brian we can even do video now! SO we proceeded to parody Bruno Mars "The Lazy Song" to "The Non Lazy Song". We worked real hard and laughed our monkey masks off so even if you think we're ridiculous and dorky, I loved every second of it.
ENJOY
(And if you're wondering who's who you can guess...I'm the chubby short missionary (boobs don't go well with men's button down and clothing). Spence is the tall awkward one.

I've never really posted a video before so I don't know why it's so blurry. Anywho, it's a bit rough, we're not perfect. There are some funny mess ups and goofy parts, but we love it and did it in one take. Brian got it in Brazil at Christmas time and LOVED it. That's all that matters.  Hope you found some joy in it as well.

Family Photos 2011

While we were in Hawaii we got a photographer to try to snatch a quick picture of what our family was like at the time. We weren't fully prepared and neither was the photographer, but we got a few (slash pictures galore to follow) good ones.

Hawaii : Thanksgiving 2011

For Thanksgiving this last year the Taylor family was blessed enough, thanks to our wonderful parents, to spend it together (all 19 of us). It was the best trip in the world. So fun and relaxing. I am truly so so so thankful for my family...and Hawaii. Here's documentation of every step....literally, lots of pics, beware. Like it should be broken up into 3-8 posts kinda pictures, but whatever, it's all in ONE. Enjoy.

We did a couple adventures while in Hawaii. Our favorite is/was the canal tubing adventure. You ride through the old irrigation canals and tunnels. The best.

We do what we want...when we want...where we want
Our other outing was a kayack/hike. Lil Jack and Cole joined us on this one, creating some interesting times and big muscles. It was also a bit windy, but it was so gorgeous and fun to all do it together.

The only rest Brett would get the rest of kayacking
I collected leaves along the way...It became a competition among a few of us, naturally, and they began to be worth money. I was rich.
Our guide did the whole thing barefoot...of course. Curry and him were buds.

 Walking sticks necessary

Giant vine castle in the jungle.
"Walking trees." They just keep growing roots and moving along. Nomads, Gyspys, like us.

Lindsey is thrilled with her husband...aka David Hasslehoff. Hey, if you bust those things out at the family waterfall hike, Imma put that crap on the internet. Your welcome.
 "OUCH!!!"
This waterfall was pounding at like 100 miles per hour. Painful. This seems peaceful and cool, but we were all screaming and yelling and grunting...laughing our faces off. Prob one of my fav trip moments.

Thanks again mom and dad. We miss it! Happy Thanksgiving...I mean...
