Counting Down!

So....2 weeks. TWO WEEKS!!! And I will be M-R-S. Orr!!! Like seriously? So here I am searching through newlyweds blogs and pages and pictures and getting so...ESTACTIC! It is good to be such a freakin' fiesta. If you only knew how-the only word I can find to describe it's brillance is---pimptastic it is going to be! Yeah that's right, that word. The only bummer is that I will not see my husband to be until then! Absence makes the heart grow fonder...well thanks I'm already getting married, is there much more love to be found?! So I must celebrate my excitement and loneliness by picking table linens and deciding on center pieces. I mean, who would have thought textures and colors could bring such joy to ones life. That's what I have for now. And maybe tonight I can dream of lighting and guest books.

Join the Club

My ward is having a summer of weddings. In total there will be six. This week was a whirlwind. My shower was on Tuesday (who'd of thunk I'd get so excited to get dishes and an apron!), Kadee Leavitt's wedding was last night and today was the big one- two Ashley's showers, Groom and Hammack, totaling 12-4 (5ish) today. CRAZY! My questions is...how is our ward not getting sick of seeing the same people every second of the day!? Don't jump ahead, I'm not saying I am (although I can only do some much schmoozing and bragging about my soon-to-be), but I wonder how much of these ladies socializing is real and friendly. I think all of it. That's why I love my ward. We love getting to together. All these women love this! And they are so genuine through every line they have to walk through, every parent they don't want to meet. I'm grateful for this because of these 6 wonderful weddings to be or passed...I'm the butt end. The last. So, I'm just hoping, everyone will wanna celebrate the end of the wedding fiesta with me! Who can complain, they are getting a total of 26 free meals or something from this! And I'm just saving the best for last!!!

It's official, I've joined. I'm thinking having a blog will be the only way I will 1-have friends and 2-Know what the heck is going on in the world. I'm also hoping it will help me from browsing the blogging world for hours at a time. I mean, when Alyssa is in Australia with the Rebs and kangaroos...it's hard not to get addicted! My life isn't near that exciting, but I am participating in a wedding this summer. Yes it is that of my own. Spencer and I are joining the ever popular marriage club on August 9th! As short as the enagement has seemed to be it couldn't come any slower! We are just so excited. Day after day I fill my time with wedding, wedding, wedding. Sometimes fun, sometimes stressful, but ALWAYS worth it.

Our little story is the Provo fairytale. He's and Allstar SLC boy and I'm all Vegas. Same ward, same Family Home Evening group (I was the mother, he was my son...I guess that's just BYU for ya)...that's all we needed. Neither of us thought much of each other for the first couple months, but bring out the pumpkin guk and halloween costumes and you're bound to fall for eachother. Honestly, from the get go, things have gone way too perfectly and all too smoothly. It's just meant to be I suppose. I guess you could say we kind of like each other.

Hopefully I can keep up with this thing. Already reading this I know I won't be half as interesting as Ally's literary works of art or Sammy's sass and fun....But I'll be something else!
