The Magical Forest

The cousins and grandkids and siblings were all in town for the wedding and we ventured to the Magical Forest for like the first time in years for me. It's spruced itself up a bit, but the cafeteria was a bit off, especially the kid that puked twice at the table next to us AND the funnel cake that we were all sick from that night. But the train and the lights and the rides made for a successful family outing. (Lots of pics, no explanations)

Ciji's Getting married

A few weeks ago I threw Ciji a shower in celebration of her soon to be wedding to Mr. Bradley Wosick. I adore both of them and am so happy for them. It was a fun event and I can't wait for the wedding

The Sunday Spill

Alright....Alright

I don't quite know what I even put stuff on here>I know why I don't...no time. But while I have time to breath I will blog.

Life has been so busy with work. I love it though. I have been putting in all my hours at the wedding reception hall I work at and not able to handle how much I love it. My feet hate the 12 hour days, but they get over it. I still watch the cute family I've been helping for forever and love having them to play with. Basically those two things are the priorities in my life lately. Housework is on the back burner, so gross, I should work on that. Spence has been so busy with school that we just get home and pass out. The last two nights I've fallen asleep hals sitting up, practically in mid sentence, makeup on, nasty teeth, glasses on face, just completely not ready for bed, but I pass out. it gross in the morning, but worth it. Summary= work is tiring but I love what I do and I love how busy I am.

Spence has finals this week and then it's off to Vegas for Morg's wedding. I'm so excited. Last week we got to go to the temple with her in Redlands, CA. It was a crazy adventure. Left for Vegas at midnight Friday night, not to Cali on Sat, barely mad eit to the temple, got right back in the car and drove home. Worth it, but FAR to many hours in the car for comfort. Especially with me and my sister spitting out crazy left and right and my pops purchasing far too many Holiday Pies at McDonalds. OH MY GOSH. Holiday Pies....go buy one. Now. Love my family though and so glad to have Kaylee join us and have a party for it.

We're going on a cruise in January. Caribbean. Sigh, I know. So excited. Skin is white as snow here and Utah though, so that won't be a pretty picture. Christmas spirit is here and we are happy to be Celebrating. Hope it's wonderful for everyone else. Maybe I'll find time in my break to fill my life in up here.

The Sunday Spill

-Today was fally. I love it. I went for a walk around town barefoot in the leaves and was very pleased.
- This weekend at work I got to make the boutonnieres and bridesmaids bouquets for one of the weddings. It was a blast and I believe I did pretty well, next time I'll take some pics. It was fun seeing them on everyone that night, I felt cool.
-Disneyland for Halloween is AWESOME.
-I want to ride my bike at this moment.
-Jazz season is in full swing. New colors...lovin' it.
-I have a lovely stack of books I've been meaning to read, and a few To Do lists, love to get myself to do those things.
-This picture is to show my official ORRdom. Yeah, it's been over 2 years, yeah I just finally finished all the switches, BUT license, social, even passport (we're going on a cruise in Jan!) and now I am Rachel Orr. Of course I couldn't stray too far from the original me so, it's officially Rachel Taylor Orr. The beauty of never having a middle name. I had to document this moment for my mother, she'd be so proud.
( HERE IS WHERE I HAD A PICTURE OF ME HOLDING MY PASSPORT, SOCIAL SECURITY CARD, AND LICENSE UP TO THE SCREEN FOR PROOF>>>UNTIL SPENCER'S COUSIN REMINDED ME WHAT AND IDIOT I WAS TO SHOW THAT TO EVERYONE IN THE WORLD AND INTERNET....WOW RACH WOW)

-That's the biggest thing I have to share...it's a pretty simple life here I guess!

MY CONTRIBUTION

I've decided that my blog design will now always reflect my mood or likes or interests for however much I want to change it. Could change often. Right now it's at least set like this for a bit in honor of our long time family friends...

THE SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS!

Baseball brings me such good memories. It's always been a family sport we've all cheered for, I've grown to live for the ballpark, but even now for just watching and listening to games, 'cause that's what my dad and brothers always did so I remember that fuzzy and noisy sound in the house and car. It makes me real happy. So of course I'm completely OVERJOYED when our family team is showing it's stuff this post season. I hope with all my heart that they can take it to the end because if not, Spence is gonna be a hermit. He always liked baseball but wasn't really stoked on any teams. When he joined my family he was taken to Giants games with the boys, the family, and given giants paraphernalia for birthdays and Christmas. I didn't have to convince him, but now...I wish I would have. His heart is far too invested and I just...I'm crossing my fingers. I know my fanatic brothers and dad love having him to shout text messages too during the game and of course to participate in the family fantasy baseball league (lets not go there). I love it too. Love having him love something I've grown up loving. Now he loves them more than me and it scares me sometimes. :) Like when the Giants shirt I got him for his birthday this year has been on him for three days in a row and 8 days out of the last 3 weeks probably. But, whatever works I guess! ANYWAYS----now that I've rambled on---I'm just tributing my blog to the cause. Anything I can do. And raising awareness and hopefully some late season fans to see them through. It's about time Giants, it's about time.

If this post was boring...at least this will entertain you.

It speaks to the heart, that beard, it sure does.

Here's to a splendid season, and fingers crossed for what's to come.

Alas...internet streaming through my computer. We were far too cheap to pay for it recently, so I cut myself off cold turkey. It was rough. So now, I am back and I plan to give details of my life later....when I'm not so entertained by my return to the world wide web. Here's some pickies to keep you entertained and inform you of some of our summer locations.

The Sunday Spill

(This is one of the boys I get to watch and play with)

It's been a while....so this spill is more of a wave

-Life has been full of different things lately. I've been super busy and we have just been trying to be adults. Summer has gone by way to fast I can hardly stand it. We don't really have many fun things to show for it. I did have a birthday which I shall soon show you and we've had school and work and such.

-I have less than a month of school left until...GRADUATION!!! I can hardly stand it. That is for DANG sure. I am enjoying myself though. I do love BYU and am finally learning to appreciate my education. BUT...I am ready to dawn that cap and gown in all it's glory.

-I have been doing a summer internship at an assisted living community called Courtyard at Jamestown. It's for my gerontology minor and I absolutely love it. I'm an activities assistant and I get to have fun with all the residents. I give them manicures, play bingo with them, throw them birthday parties, sing songs with them, and all sorts of other fun things. They are so adorable and so loving and make me so happy. It's mostly ladies and they are just the cutest and definitely the sweetest. It is making me really see something I want ot do in the future and it is teaching me a lot first hand about the affects of aging. It's a tough but beautiful process and I'm so grateful I can learn from all of the wonderfully experienced people at Courtyard.
(I'll probably have a lot of stories about this. And I want to post some pictures. SO CUTE)

-Between work (nannying), my internship and school my days have been PACKED, especially because I started working at the Wedding Reception Hall that I am interning at this fall. I have worked events almost all day this week and ten hours yesterday. IT IS SO MUCH FUN! I loved my wedding far to much so I get to live vicariously through all the newlyweds coming through the place. My feet are feeling though, standing all day, but it's worth it. CHECK IT OUT, this is the cute, quaint little place!

-Spencer and I are in an English class together and we love arguing and talking about all the topics. We like talking about them, but writing them, not so much. Which I have to do by tomorrow!

-My brother-in-law Nathan is getting home from his mission in Manaus, Brazil on Wednesday and we are so ridiculously exciting. This week and next week is dedicated to partying with him and the Orr's. It's crazy that he's coming home because that means we've been married just about two years!!

-I really want scotch-er-roos right about now!

-I have been the first counselor in the Relief Society for a month or two now! That means attending our own ward more regularly, which means less vacations, but I enjoy it. It gets me involved, since we've been in the ward for two years now, I guess it's about time. It's fun though, I just feel pretty inadequate and it's made me feel like a little girl, like I don't know how to do things! So responsibility will hopefully become a new trait.

-I have now bored you with our boring life. I haven't updated in so long because I feel ike I'm too boring. I will dedicate myself to finding some adventure as to make this and life more interesting!
