The Last/First Week

After our San Diego Christmasing, Spencer had 1 WHOLE MONTH off of school! 

You bet we lived it up.

We'll get to that month at some point, but for now I'll try to stay a bit more up to date. 

After Vegas, Utah, Vegas we came back home. 

It was real nice to be back.

My family was cute enough to recognize our Disney adventures & realize they were coming to an end

 (if you don't get it, just don't worry that we enjoy it so much. I get we don't have kids, but Disneyland makes me happy, ok :))

So Christmas came and season passes were gifted. 

Naturally we had to get use out of them RIGHT away. So the next day we headed up to Anaheim to enjoy. We did. We really did. AND we always meet up with our Disney buds Zach and Jana, but unfortunately never together and morely with Zach (WHICH IS GREAT) but we finally got a day with Jane (Jana) and dinner at Tortilla Jo's with the pair of them. 

Disney = Happy

It's a mindset that I've decided to adopt and it ALWAYS works

Apparently there were some shocking or scary or, I don't know parts - see shocked face below.

We just...we...we think we're funny. I mean, we were really tired. 

It is a dream of mine to stay at the Grand California Hotel. Even if it wasn't connected to the Park and was randomly in the desert I'd want to stay there. It is so gorgeous. Frank Lloyd Wright inspired in American Craftsman style, the architecture alone would sigh me to sleep. Cozy nooks, old time glamour, the details are natural and subtle and I just love it. Early 1900's feel...just, yeah.

Also I can use this phone...so that's always a plus

That was our last vacation adventure. The next two days we were SUPER LAZY to end the vacay in style. I mean like lounge city on the couch, movies, naps, eating (no cooking), SUPER LAZEEE. 

It was awesome.

Spencer went back to school on the 14th. First day of his 2nd semester in his first year of law school.

I am so proud of him and so grateful he works so hard. 

AND I'm grateful he lets me be as corny as I am...

I went back to getting our life in order. 

I get spend some of that time watching adorable kiddos. 

It's so fun to have friends and playmates.

Ella draws pictures with me. Mine (left) is sad I know, it's of her, I'm a 5 year old when it comes to art. But she is actually a 6 year old and she kept saying of the picture she drew of me (right) "you look like a fish! you look like a fish!"

But she's cute, so it's fine. 

The best part is the Easy Bake Ovening...so lucky. 

As she says, "It's the yummiest thing and the sweetest, AND the easiest!!!"

I also get to take them all the places I want to go, but sadly don't have much of a kid reason.

So we played and enjoy and soaked up and LOVED Mission Bay Park. 

Mission Bay is my favorite and they have the best, biggest park and jogging/bike path.

Oh and I throw this in because it's a plug.

We ate at Burger Lounge last week because I crave it every day. 

They have the BEST grass-fed meat and neat drinks and freshest fries with the best oils and it's great.

The turkey burger is my go-to there. SO delicious and it feels good. (Below)

Spence went with the Buffalo Burger. 

We had our FHE there and our 2013 goals and planning session.

It was a delicious success.

A highlight of last week was prancing through the Antique District in Ocean Beach 

I got some finds. 

The best of all was finding my new spot for collecting.

I'll get into that obsession another time, but for now I'll just allude. 

After that heaven was the farmer's market. 

The haul there, avocados and California Kimchi. 

We had the Kimchi with dinner that night. 

It mad me miss Korea, which made me happy.

I would have hauled the whole lot of it, but I spent a large chunk of change on postcards and a gold rimmed mirror tray I'd been eyeing. 

Which is why I return tomorrow, this time with Spencer, and every Wednesday evening from here to forever. 

Ok. That was the last week or so. It was a success. The loveliest. 

Here's to hoping for the same now, weeks to come.
