And you know what else...
I'll give away a copy of Princess for Hire myself, signed by author sis.
Here's what you do to enter:
1. Go to Lindsey's blog, read about her "Impact Initiative", enter her giveaway by leaving a comment.
2. You can get double points for her giveaway by leaving a story of your own about an impact moment you've had.
3. Comment here telling me you did it
4. Then tell me something awesome about me, like how beautiful, funny, or impactful I am....or something :)
5. Extra points if you tell me about your impact story too
I will do a random pull of names. Tell everyone you know to enter both my sister and I's giveaways to get a beautiful pink princessy start to their summer reading list!

We Celebrate May
Spencer turned 24...cool.
We partied with his family that weekend in joint celebration with his birthday brother's big 1-8 and his lovely mother's day of recognition.

May 11th was filled with school and work and studying...but we were also able to find time to fill ourselves with all you can eat sushi. It was so delicious, but it ended up making us like a kid on their first birthday when you put the cake in front of them and start super fast and then come to a slower and slower end until they eventually can't put another piece in the mouth...literally. But awesome.

We came home to some presents some friends and some desserts. Good company, all the hints he dropped on gifts fulfilled and scootcheroos shaped into his age...I'd say it was ok--who ever knows what Spence is thinking though!

Happy Birthday Speene

E-A-G-L...
Spencer coached Skyline High School's men's volleyball team this season. It consisted of his brother and all his buddies. He went up 3 nights a week to SLC for games and practice. Annoying, but fun.
This weekend was the state tournament and BYU was hosting it. SO naturally we had all seven boys sleeping on our wood floor wall to wall Friday night. I came home from work to a carpet of high schoolers'. The next morning boys were creeping through my bedroom all morning to the bathroom, since it's located in our room. It was an interesting experience sharing a bathroom with 7 boys and letting them eat all my cereal, but a fun one. I'm just preparing myself for the "team mom" I will one day have to be being in the Orr family. I'm psyched.

Spencer's studly bro Brian is the setter. Impressive

The boys did well, had fun, but ran off early to go to their Prom, no big deal. Spence and I finished the night laying in bed from 7 to sleep. High School's exhausting.

One day of sunshine
There was once a day in the month of May in Utah that there was sunshine....once. That one day was our one day of spring break before spring semester. So we rented a tandem bike, packed a lunch, grabbed some balls and went to the park for the afternoon. It was lovely. We napped under a tree, I played hide and seek with some little kid and we biked home.

We found "The Museum of People's and Culture's around the corner from our house and ventured it. Interesting stuff. Hundred of years of ancient tribal history and this is what Spencer got from it.
I can't wait for the next day of sunshine....I hate wearing jackets in May.
